How does the junction system work?
1. Select a particular junction as your starting point. Remember the junction’s number so that you’ll be able to travel from there and come back to the same junction again. The cycling route network in Drenthe is comprised of easily recognisable green and white markers bearing the junction numbers.
2. At each junction, you’ll be able to change your route if you like; simply follow the arrows in the desired direction.
3. Your chosen route may sometimes merge with an ANWB (Dutch tourism association) route, meaning that you’ll have to follow the ANWB markers for a while. If this is the case, you’ll clearly be instructed to ‘follow this route’.
4. At each junction, you’ll be able to choose which direction you want to go from there.
