About the creator
Priscila Fernandes is a visual artist working with painting, drawing, installation, photography, video, and publications. In her speculative and often humorous work, she poses fundamental questions about freedom—individual and collective—in relation to uncertainty, the commodification of time, and the threat of violence in contemporary society. She lives in the Netherlands and is the director of the BEAR program (Base for Experiment, Art and Research) at ArtEZ and Kunstwerk Kolderveen. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the São Paulo Biennial, the Reina Sofía Museum, the Joan Miró Foundation, Artium, the Reykjavik Art Museum, the Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, the SMBA (Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam), Serralves, MAAT, and many other institutions.
This film was commissioned by Solar Galeria de Arte Cinemática (Vila do Conde, Portugal) in collaboration with Batalha Centro Cinema (Porto, Portugal) and Circular Festival (Vila do Conde, Portugal), with support from the Mondriaan Fund (NL).
