In the garden of the former horticultural school in Frederiksoord, she stands: Grandma Catalpa speciosa. Stately, grand, with a charm that would envy many a young tree. In 2004, the school closed its doors. For twenty years, a blanket of oblivion hung over the tree. Until suddenly, the caring hands of people appeared, listening to her stories in the rustling of the leaves. Today, Grandma Catalpa shines again, like a true diva.
