The Ice Age Trail runs alongside the King Willem Alexander Canal, which is part of the Veenvaart.
What is particularly remarkable is that a 5-meter difference in height in the canal is resolved by a so-called double lock. A double lock measuring 2 x 2.5 meters. Get off your bike for a moment and take a look at this impressive lock.
