When you think of sidecar races at the Assen circuit, the iconic Dutch sidecar duo Streuer & Schnieders inevitably comes to mind. On one side of this piece stands Egbert Streuer, the masterful rider. Beside him is the ever-driven passenger Bernard Schnieders. This golden duo made history by becoming three-time world champions, but their greatest triumph was winning the Assen TT in ’87. They secured this victory in pouring rain before no less than 140,000 spectators. Even a runaway horse joined in to celebrate their success.
