Woodland Living Community

OlmenEs is located on the edge of Appelscha, surrounded by woodland, on the site of a former sanatorium with a rich history. Today it is a residential and working community for more than 140 adults with learning disabilities. On the extensive grounds, residents have access to residential care, work facilities and nature, with homes, workshops, a farm, a bakery and a shop on site. This place focuses not on the disability of its residents, but on their personal development and meaningful connections.
